Statesboro Area Transit seeks new drivers

An open interview session will be held on March 14 at the Goodwill Opportunity Center

The city of Statesboro is launching the Statesboro Area Transit public transportation program in the coming weeks.

The transit program will be operated by the Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) of Georgia. The CRC, located in Darien, is now hiring part time and full time bus drivers ahead of the program roll out. 

The driver position is responsible for driving an assigned bus on a predetermined fixed route. 

The CRC will host open interviews for Statesboro Area Transit bus drivers on March 14th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The interviews will take place at the Goodwill Opportunity Center located at 24015 U.S. Highway 80 E in Statesboro.

The position is a safety-sensitive position and must pass a drug and alcohol test, criminal background check and have a clean driving record.
