SPD and Splash to host Mariah's Water Safety Day

The event is free for children ages 3-12 (parent or guardian guided), and the first 50 children to sign up will be eligible for FREE sponsored swimming lessons through Splash in the Boro. This water safety day is being held in memory of 4-year-old Mariah Renee Jackson, who was lost in a tragic swimming pool accident earlier this year.

On April 23, 2023, this community was shaken with the loss of little Mariah Jackson in a tragic swimming pool accident. In her memory, and in an effort to keep a tragedy like this from happening again, the Statesboro Police Department and Splash in the Boro are partnering for Mariah's Water Safety Day! 

The event is free for children ages 3-12 (parent or guardian guided), and the first 50 children to sign up will be eligible for FREE sponsored swimming lessons through Splash in the Boro. 

Join SPD and Splash on July 7, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for Mariah's Water Safety Day at Luetta Moore Park, located at 585 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Statesboro, GA 30458. 

*Children must be between ages 3-12 and must have parent or guardian present. Participants must also be a resident of Bulloch County.
