Georgia Department of Transportation continues essential road work throughout Southeast Georgia. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, Sept. 2 through Friday, Sept. 8.
Labor Day holiday lane closure restrictions will be in place beginning Friday, Sept. 1, at noon until Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 5 a.m. No lane closures or work that restricts or interferes with traffic will be conducted on Interstates and major State Routes during these time frames.
All work subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling thru work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.
