There were no injuries reported in a small personal airplane crash at the Statesboro Bulloch County Airport on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Public safety agencies were dispatched at 3:25 pm to the plane crash at the airport.
According to Flightaware.com the locally owned single engine, Beechcraft 35 Bonanza initially departed the airport at 2:06 PM and flew in circles around the airport before landing and attempting to take off again where the plane crashed.
The owner of the plane was not piloting the plane at the time of the crash. He said the plane had been in for service and was being test flown at the time of the crash.
The preliminary report from the FAA states that the plane crashed for unknown reasons at the end of the runway on departure.
