The Statesboro High School Lady Devils tennis team traveled to Greenbrier High School for matches with the number 1 seed in the upcoming region tournament on the line.
Julia Basquin got the girls on the board with a 6-3,6-1 win at first singles. Naomi Feltman followed shortly behind with a smooth 6-1,6-2 win at second singles.
After a close first set, Maggie Proctor and Jolee Jordan played a great second set to clinch the win with a 6-4,6-1 victory at first doubles. Ada Lacienski and Lindsay Collins also picked up a win at second doubles by a score of 7-5,6-3.
The Lady Devils are now 14-2 on the season and undefeated in region play. The girls will have a bye in the first round and will play the winner of Ware County and Bradwell in the semi-finals that will be held at Mill Creek the week of April 10th.
