Chloe Dahlia Jones recently finished her high school education and has an impressive college career on the horizon.

Born to Bobby and Marcella Jones and raised in Statesboro, Georgia, Chloe attended Statesboro High School, where she was an active member in the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America.

She graduated with honors as a part of the Class of 2024 and is looking forward to the fall semester, where she will pursue a major in biochemistry with a minor in neuroscience at Mercer University. For her time at Mercer, she was awarded a Presidential Scholarship with an amount equal to the value of full tuition for all four years of her undergraduate degree.

In addition to her Presidential Scholarship, Chloe has been chosen to participate in Mercer’s prestigious Special Consideration Program for medical school, in which she has been granted an automatic seat in Mercer University's School of Medicine upon the completion of her undergraduate degree.

Chloe has a strong interest in pediatric oncology and hopes to return to Statesboro to open her own practice one day.

“I have always been interested in working with children, and hope to provide a specialized service in a rural community. The program I got accepted into has a focus on training young doctors who plan to practice in rural communities,” Chloe stated when asked about her career interests.

Outside of school, Chloe was also a member of the Statesboro Youth Council and served as the City of Statesboro’s Junior Mayor for Spring 2024. During this time, she acted as an advocate for other youth in the community and developed a strong sense of leadership and learned the importance of giving back to the community.

Congratulations, Chloe!
