ONE: Ethel Lane to take the Averitt stage Friday night

Kicking off the ONE Series for 2024, the Averitt Center for the Arts in downtown Statesboro will welcome gospel singer Ethel Lane on Friday evening.

She'll be singing a playlist of spiritual and classic music accompanied by professional pianists Wemberly Ponder and Joshua Tremble. Songs like Go Tell It on the Mountain, Jesus is Love, and It Don't Cost Very Much will be performed alongside an in-depth interview with Ethel about her life, career, and musical journey.

The Averitt's ONE series of performances highlights ONE gifted individual. The audience shares 90 minutes with an established artist of the community via guest-host interviews, family members, and of course, performances. The series is sponsored by Brinson, Williams, and Groomes Insurance.
