On Monday, December 5, 2022 at 1:42 pm Bulloch County 911 dispatched Statesboro Police officers and Statesboro Firefighters to investigate reports of a car that crashed in a building in the 1200 block of Merchants Way in the Market District.
On arrival Statesboro firefighters reported that indeed there was a car in the office of a Statesboro law firm.
Firefighters assisted getting the occupants out of the car. Bulloch County EMS responded as a precaution. But miraculously there was no report of injuries in the crash.
A witness at the scene said she saw the car approaching as if were going to park then it suddenly popped over the curve and stuck the building ending with a good portion of the vehicle in the building.
Statesboro firefighters remained on the scene until the car could be removed from the building. The building suffered extensive damage.
No other details are available at this time.
Statesboro Police Department is handling the investigation.
