Statesboro’s Downtown Live FREE concert series is now in full swing. Next up, “the premier party band,” better known as The Grapevine Band on June 29th on the Bulloch County Courthouse Lawn.
The Grapevine Band are proud to call Macon, Georgia home. They have been together for over thirty years now and having won Band of the Year in 2001, as well as recognition from Macon Magazine following their 30th anniversary, this band is one you definitely don’t want to miss. Among the awards and recognition, The Grapevine Band has also played alongside several familiar names. Grand Funk Railroad, Percy Sledge, The Temptations, and The Tams are just some of the groups the band has accompanied.
The Grapevine Band, a 10-piece group, is made up of professional musicians on horns, drums, guitar, keyboard, percussionists, and vocals. The members dance while performing to engage concert-goers and get people on their feet. Each member of the band brings a different musical background to the stage. Using these differences to their advantage, they join forces to create a beautifully unique sound for listeners of all ages. The group pays homage to classic songs, including Motown, R&B, Beach, Pop, and Classic Rock. From Elvis to Lynard Skynard, there’s a little something for everyone from The Grapevine Band!
