The Georgia Southern University Planetarium has an exciting fall planned with a slate of public shows scheduled.
This semester's schedule features the popular evening shows, as well as new opportunities for weekday afternoon and Friday morning shows, expanding the planetarium's offerings for students and the community alike.
The planetarium, located in the math/physics building on the Georgia Southern University campus, is a large, dome-shaped room with soft, comfy seats that has the ability to display a large variety of shows, including the shows "Weather," "Let It Snow," "Lamps of Atlantis" and plenty more! These shows are run by Dillon Marcy, the planetarium coordinator, who happily welcomes everyone interested in experiencing the stars from a different perspective.

Most shows last around 45 minutes and are $5 a person with children three or under getting in for free—it's recommended to arrive 10 minutes early. Field trips are also available for teachers looking to give their students something fun and educational to do for the day!
The new dates will not include any new content that has not already been shown to the public, they will just be additional dates for people to enjoy, said Marcy.
More information on upcoming show times can be found here! And remember, if you get dizzy, just close your eyes before resuming the show!
