Kiwanis Club of Statesboro Memorial Scholarship applications now open

Applicants must be a 2024 graduate from a high school in one of the following counties: Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Jenkins, or Screven. This year, the Club will award two additional $2,500 scholarships in memory of member Martha Watring-Ross. Applications are due by Friday, March 1.

In honor of its former club members, the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro intends to award the Kiwanis Memorial Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 annually.

This year, the club will also award two $2,500 scholarships honoring Martha Watring-Ross, a former member of the Kiwanis Club and member of the Scholarship Committee.

These scholarships may be used only to assist in expenses incurred while attending an accredited post-secondary educational institution. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities (related to school, church, and/or community), and financial need.

To be eligible, applicants must be a 2024 graduate from a high school in one of the following counties: Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Jenkins, or Screven.
