Join Fix-It Fridays at the FAB Lab

Got a broken toaster or a wobbly chair leg? Bring it to Fix-It Friday for repairs, and enjoy free burgers while you're there! The purpose of Fix-It Fridays is to promote sustainability and innovation by teaching people how to repair items themselves, instead of throwing away and purchasing new.

As part of an ongoing campaign to reduce waste and encourage innovation, Georgia Southern's Fab Lab and the City of Statesboro's Greener Boro Commission are teaming up to host monthly Fix It Fridays starting this Friday, July 14, from 6 to 8pm. Come to the Fab Lab with your broken items and enjoy free burgers, repairs, and camaraderie with repair experts.

This month, experts will be on-site to help you with general repairs, including electrical repairs/basic wiring (i.e. broken toasters, coffee makers and small appliances) and furniture repair with wood glue.

At future Fix-It Fridays, you can expect these electrical and wood glue repairs, plus basic bicycle and sewing repairs. RSVP to [email protected] for specialty item repairs.
