Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies were alerted of a motorcycle that was eluding Jenkins County Deputies around 11:24 PM on Friday, June 2, 2023 on Hwy. 80 heading toward Bulloch County.

The chase began when the motorcyclist did not stop for the Jenkins County deputies around 11:15 PM.

Bulloch Deputies made contact with the motorcyclist around 11:24 PM and attempted to also stop him. His speed exceeded 112 mph as he entered the county.  He was reported at speeds above 90 mph when he entered the City of Statesboro.

According to GSP Sergent Robbie Scott he failed to negotiate a curve on Northside Drive, just past Martin Luther King Boulevard, due to the high rate of speed.  He left the roadway and struck a parked car in the parking lot of Atlantic Tint.

Bulloch County EMS Paramedics transported the 34 year old male to EGRMC with serious injuries.  He was later flown to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.  An updated condition was not available at the time of the story.
