Harville Rd. closures and detours for construction of roundabout will begin July 8

A road closure and detour at the intersection of Langston Chapel Road and Harville Road as well as a road closure and detour along Elmer Phillips Road at Harville Road will be in place for 90 days beginning July 8 and ending October 6. See the detour maps in the article.

JA Long Inc. plans to close the intersection of Harville Road and Langston Chapel Road for 90 days starting Monday, July 8, 2024. During that time, JA Long will be constructing a roundabout at the location for the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The contractors have provided the following information on their plan to detour traffic around the intersection. Residents in this area need to follow the below plan labeled to get access to and from this location. JA Long will maintain access for all local traffic, and all area residents will be notified via hand-delivered letter prior to the closure.

This also includes a road closure and detour along Elmer Phillips Road at Harville Road. Elmer Phillips traffic will use Highway 67 as a detour. See a map below.

Both road closures and detours will be in place for 90 continuous calendar days beginning July 8, 2024 and ending October 6, 2024.

Please be on the lookout for additional messages regarding this closure. If you have any questions regarding these shutdowns or require any additional information, please contact JA Long Project Manager Brandon Bloomfield at (706) 566-9161 or [email protected].
