A GoFundMe has been established for funeral and travel expenses for the family involved in Tuesday's fatal car accident at Jones Mill Road and Veteran's Memorial Parkway.

Shatasha Fields, 36, the driver of one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her two sons, Kingston, 4, and Knowledge, 5, were transported to EGRMC then flown by AirEvac to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah in critical condition.

According to officials and family members, the boys have sadly been declared brain dead and remain on life support in Savannah, as they await organ donation.

The family has been traveling back and forth to Savannah to be with the boys while also planning Fields's funeral.

Fields was a staff member of Custodial Services in the Division of Facilities Services at Georgia Southern. According to the Mill Creek Elementary PTO, Kingston and Knowledge were both students at the school. A prayer vigil is planned for 5:30pm on Thursday, August 24, by the flagpole at the school.
