Bulloch Home Heavily Damaged by Fire

Thursday evening October 19, 2023 Bulloch and Statesboro Fire Departments responded to a house fire in Bulloch County. The home was heavily damaged by the fire.

A Bulloch County home was heavily damaged by fire on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Bulloch County 911 dispatched Bulloch County Fire and Statesboro Fire Departments at 9:02 PM to a house fire in the 3300 block of Black Creek Church Road.

When the first firefighters and deputies arrived on the scene they reported the home was fully involved with fire.

Bulloch Firefighters from Engine 7 based in Brooklet made a quick entry and knocked the fire down rapidly. The home had several add on additions and roof lines which made the fire even more difficult to completely extinguish.  The home suffered extensive fire, smoke and heat damage.

The occupants were able to escape the fire without injury.

Bulloch County EMS responded as a precaution.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputies responded to assist as well.

A Red Cross Disaster Action Team was requested to the scene to provide temporary assistance to the occupants.  

Bulloch County Fire investigators will conduct a routine cause and origin investigation.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
