Bi-Lo FTB “Operation Turkey Move”
Over 20 volunteers met at Bi-Lo today to assist with “Operation Turkey Move” the official kick off for the communities Feed The Boro event which will feed over 3,000 on Thanksgiving Day. Bi-Lo Statesboro again this year donated 200 Turkeys to Feed The Boro. The community volunteers included GSU students and J.C. SHS and Bulloch County School staff and volunteers will begin cooking the turkeys early next week.
Over 500 volunteers have stepped up to help with this years event which is the largest annual community wide feeding event.
“We want to thank Bi-Lo Manager Tod Marsh, his staff and Southeastern Grocers for stepping up in a huge way again this year”, said Don Poe, FTB Chair. “There is no way we would be able to feed as many people in the Bulloch, Evans and Candler Counties without their tremendous support, the support of all of our sponsors and the hundreds of volunteers who give unselfishly of their time.”
