The Statesboro Belk store is preparing to host its annual Charity Sale from Friday, June 6th through Monday, June 9th, continuing a nearly two-decade tradition of community fundraising that has supported thousands of charitable organizations across the Southeast.

A Legacy of Giving Back

Since 2006, Belk's Charity Sale has become a cornerstone of community support, helping over 6,000 charities across the retailer's 16-state footprint. The concept is straightforward yet impactful: participating organizations sell $5 tickets in advance of the sale, with 100% of proceeds staying with the local charities that sell them.

"We are looking forward to continuing this tradition and building on our legacy of supporting our local communities," said store representatives.

How the Charity Sale Works

Community members can purchase Charity Sale tickets either directly from participating charities or at their local Belk store. For tickets purchased at the register, revenue is divided among Belk's three national partners: the Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, and Family Promise. Importantly, these funds remain within Belk's 16-state region, maintaining the local community connection.

The program places no limits on participation - there's no cap on the number of organizations that can join, tickets they can sell, or funds they can raise.

Local Partnerships

This year's Statesboro Charity Sale features an impressive roster of local beneficiaries, including Esther's Place, Statesboro Food Bank, Alpha Delta Kappa, Youth Career Commission Inc, Home Bound Services, Roosevelt Cone Jr Scholarship Foundation Inc., Positive Childhood Alliance, Restoring the Breach, Boys & Girls Club of Statesboro, Altrusa International, and Sam Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Significant Savings for Shoppers

Charity Sale ticket holders can enjoy substantial discounts across multiple categories. Select private and national brands will be marked down 20-50%, while fine jewelry sees reductions of up to 60%. The $5 charity ticket provides an additional 25% off these already discounted items.

The sale also includes rarely-discounted designer brands such as Free People, Columbia, and Levi's, which will be available at 25% off with a ticket. Beauty enthusiasts can find select cosmetic and fragrance products at 20% off.

Special Pop-Up Shop Launch

Adding excitement to this year's event, Belk Statesboro is hosting the grand opening of a pop-up shop featuring What Goes Around Comes Around vintage Louis Vuitton bags. Even these luxury items will be available at 10% off for ticket holders - a rare opportunity for designer handbag collectors.

Community Impact

The Charity Sale represents more than just a shopping event; it's a community-wide effort that transforms routine retail purchases into charitable giving. By participating, customers can support local causes while enjoying significant savings on everything from everyday essentials to luxury items.

The four-day sale runs through Monday, giving community members multiple opportunities to participate in this meaningful tradition that has been strengthening local charities for nearly two decades.
