Savannah SCORE is accepting online applications from aspiring local entrepreneurs who want to become contestants in Savannah SCORE’s “BizPitch Savannah™” 2024 Entrepreneurial Competition.
This Shark Tank-style entrepreneurial competition offers eight local entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges that includes experienced entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors. All participants must deliver convincing pitches showcasing the strength of their idea and business plan, and three of the eight contestants will win a prize package valued at $10,000 to launch their new business. There is a non-refundable $25 application fee.
The application asks standard questions about your business strategy: What problem will you solve? Who is your target customer? What is your competitive advantage? How will you promote and advertise? What resources will you need to launch? What is your revenue projection for the first year? What skills do you bring to the table? How do you know you have what it takes? Sell yourself!
Applications open Wednesday, June 12, 2024 and close 12:01 am, Thursday, August 15, 2024. SCORE cannot accept late submissions nor make exceptions for technical difficulties, so be sure to submit early!

ELIGIBILITY
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Proposed businesses may be either a new start-up or an existing business with revenue under $100,000.
- Winners must agree to locate the business in one of the following Georgia Counties: Bulloch, Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty or McIntosh.
- All participants will be subject to the Savannah Biz Pitch 2024 Timeline. Attendance on these dates is mandatory:
- Thursday, August 15 — All applications must be finalized and submitted by midnight.
- Friday, August 23 — All applicants will be notified of the selection of eight finalist
- Friday, September 6 — Welcome Party and Kickoff for the Eight chosen finalists. Each Finalist will pair with a Mentor to finesse their presentation. 12 - 2 pm. Location TBD.
- Friday, October 4 — Presentation Practice Session for each Finalist and Mentor. 12 - 2 pm. Location TBD.
- Friday October 18— Finalists will make their presentation to the judges. Three winners will be selected

Please carefully read the following Rules and Requirements. It is essential that you comply with all Rules and meet all Requirements in order to apply. IMPORTANT DETAILS
- Your proposal application will be limited in the number of letters for each question and MUST BE submitted ONLINE by Midnight EDT Sunday, August 11, 2024. Applications that exceed the character count for any question will not be acceptable for submission until they are corrected. There is a downloadable sample worksheet on our website to aid you in figuring the allowable character count for each answer.
- No proposal will be considered without payment of the non-refundable application fee.
- Applications that have not been completed by the time of the deadline will not be considered.
- All application submissions will be reviewed by a Savannah SCORE Review Committee and evaluated for clarity, completeness, uniqueness, and potential financial viability.
SCORE Savannah’s 7th Annual Shark Tank-style entrepreneurial competition is being held on October 18, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Eckberg Auditorium, Savannah Technical College, 5717 White Bluff Rd. Savannah, GA 31405.
That evening, Eight Finalists will pitch their business ideas to the panel. Three of the finalists will be chosen as winners, each winner will be awarded cash and professional services valued at over $10,000 to help them launch their new or existing small business. This exciting and fun evening is open to the public at no charge.
