Bulloch County Schools will dismiss students two hours early on Thursday, September 26, and remain closed on Friday, September 27, following guidance from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency. All after-school activities and the Board of Education's work session for Thursday have been canceled.

Bulloch County Schools are monitoring Tropical Storm Helene. At this time, the latest track from the NWS Hurricane Center has the storm shifting west and impacts are expected Thursday evening and Thursday night, after schools have dismissed. The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) has partnered with the University System of Georgia (USG) to launch a statewide initiative aimed at reducing student suicides by raising mental health awareness through 988 lifeline decals in residence halls across all public colleges and universities. The initiative is expected to reach 200,000 students.
