Statesboro community dances the night away at 90's Kids Superfly Tribute Concert

A blast from the past transported Bulloch County residents back to the 90s. The 90's Kids Superfly Tribute band played to a large crowd in downtown Statesboro in the fifth of six performances in the 2025 Downtown Live concert series.

Bright, sunny skies shone down on the Downtown Live stage on East Main Street in front of the Bulloch County Courthouse as hundreds packed into downtown Statesboro for a high-energy performance by the 90’s Kids Superfly Tribute band. The crowd was treated to a lively set that offered something for everyone from pop and rock to dance, grunge, and even a touch of ’90s hip-hop.

The evening was certainly one of the summer’s most memorable performances, taking concertgoers on a nostalgic trip through some of the decade’s biggest hits.

90’s Kids Superfly Tribute doesn’t just see themselves as a ’90s cover band they see themselves as time travelers who proudly transport the audience back to a decade rich in musical diversity.

The band brought many to their feet in the summer heat as the crowd enjoyed the energetic vibes and a nostalgic setlist featuring some of the top songs from each year of the ’90s.

Kids, parents, families and friends enjoyed the beautiful weather under a mellow sunset as 90’s Kids Superfly Tribute delivered a main event–style performance, sending everyone home happy and already looking forward to next year’s concert series.

This show-stopping performance continues a season of free, family-friendly entertainment set against the backdrop of the Bulloch County Courthouse bringing the community together for another beautiful evening in downtown Statesboro.

Running on select Thursday evenings, the Downtown Live series offers six free concerts on East Main Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Food trucks and vendors open at 6 p.m. each concert night, with downtown restaurants also nearby. The shows begin at 7 p.m.

The series will wrap on August 21 with “Liquid Pleasure.” The band was set to perform on May 29, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Returning to the Downtown Live stage for the third year in a row, Liquid Pleasure brings crowd-pleasing covers of modern groups like The Black Eyed Peas and Outkast to Motown staples like The Temptations and The Supremes.
