A USA Today analysis shows that of the 10 counties in the nation with the highest death rates from COVID-19, five are in Georgia. Hancock County is No. 1 on the list. The Middle Georgia county, with a death rate from COVID-19 of 45.

Bulloch County's percent of positive cases has reached the goal of five percent. Bulloch's 14 day average has gone up from 96 to 108. The goal for this measurement is less than 100 cases per 100,000 citizens.

A 77 year old black male with no comorbidity is Candler County's 24th COVID-19 death. Candler County is also reporting a 14 day case average of 397 per 100,000 citizens and a 22.1% of positive tests.

Yesterday, Bulloch BOE reversed course and temporarily rescinded their decision to stop following CDC and DPH recommendations regarding how they quarantine students who had been exposed to a COVID positive.
