Bulloch County is now considered an “emerging county of interest” due to increases in new cases, positivity rate, and emergency room visits. The County Indicator Report is released weekly on Mondays.

Yesterday, Candler County reported a percent positive of 3.6%, today Candler reports a percent positive of 11.8%. The Department of Public Health is not reporting a 14 day average for Candler County at this time.

Georgia shattered its record for single-day increases of new COVID cases , with 6,601 reported Friday. That total of people testing positive for the virus includes more than 1,500 people who took rapid antigen tests.

Bulloch County reported the highest daily COVID-19 case count today (17 positive cases) since November second. Case counts have fluctuated, getting as high as 15 cases on November 19th and 23rd.

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) reports 0.0% of positive cases for Candler County today. Candler County is also reporting a 14 day average of 111 cases per 100,000 citizens & a total of 46 COVID-19 hospitalized patients.
