In a 7:21 pm, Sunday April 24, 22 press release, Statesboro Police Department (SPD) confirmed that on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 6:47 p.m. SPD officers were dispatched to Pinewood Manor Apartments on Packinghouse Road in Statesboro for a male shooting victim at that location.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the shooting victim, 26 year old De’onta Trowel-Mosteller behind an apartment block deceased. Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area as well to assist in securing the outdoor scene.
Detectives responded to begin the criminal investigation. The investigation indicates that there were multiple individuals in close proximity to the incident. Detectives are asking them to come forward and offer their observations to further the investigation.
Management at Pinewood Manor has provided all possible assistance to detectives.
