Patrons and employees evacuated the building and waited a safe distance away as crews worked quickly to isolate the cause of the smoke and cut power to part of the facility.

The cause was determined to be an electrical issue with wiring in the men’s restroom. The restaurant suffered no smoke or fire damage.

At the time of this story, Statesboro-Bulloch FD is no longer on scene and the business has resumed normal operations.
