Amy Justice and Trish Dozier of Southern Blended Boutique in Nevils, GA in Bulloch County are coordinating the first annual Nevils SunFest, which boasts a variety of local vendors.

The festival will be held this Saturday, June 24th from 10 AM to 4 PM outside of the Southern Blended Boutique, located at 8061 Nevils Groveland Road in downtown Nevils.

This event officially kicks off summer and supports small businesses at the same time.

There will be something for everyone at the Nevils SunFest. There will be food, including the Chick-Fil-A truck, hats, jewelry, honey, bath products, handmade iron and leather goods, body care products, coffee, tumblers, and activities such as ax-throwing. A DJ will be there to provide a musical backdrop to all of the family fun.

The inspiration for Nevils SunFest, the first of its kind in the Nevils area, came from a conversation about wanting to recreate what Justice and Dozier had seen in nearby festivals.

Dozier explains, “We wanted to do something to pull the community together.”

Justice opened Southern Blended Boutique in February of 2022. Her shop offers handmade items including t-shirts, jewelry, blankets, candles, and more.

Dozier, who has been making embroidery applique shirts for 12 years, went to the boutique to introduce herself and struck up a friendship with Justice. Dozier now offers her shirts through the store.

Justice and Dozier hope this is the first of many Nevils-based festivals.

“We’re already talking about having a fall festival,” Dozier says.

Both women are hopeful for a great turnout for the Nevils SunFest this Saturday.

“There is parking at Nevils Elementary and along the streets, but we do ask that if you park on the street to not block anyone’s driveway,” Justice says.
