Ogeechee Technical College is gearing up for CDL Day on Thursday, July 24, 2025, a one-day registration event designed to enroll new students into the Fall 2025 Commercial Truck Driving (CDL) program.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. at the Enrollment Services entrance of the Joseph E. Kennedy Building on Ogeechee Tech's campus (1 Joe Kennedy Blvd.), and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Ogeechee Tech notes that applicants should arrive early, as spots fill quickly, apply ahead of time, and bring all required documentation with them.
Students interested in attending CDL Day may complete the required online application here. Applicants should also make sure they have cleared any holds on their account prior to arrival. Holds can be checked via logging into the Banner Web system and clicking Student Services > Student Records > View Holds.
Admissions will admit students as applications are submitted and will require:
- A complete online admissions application
- Current Driver's License
- CDL Learner's Permit
- DOT Physical
- Drug Screen
- Students will need to bring their 7 year Motor Vehicle Record dated 7/24/25 to registration.
Orientation will be provided at registration and is mandatory for all new students. Once admitted, students will be assigned an advisor and must schedule an advisement appointment.

Fall CDL classes begin August 18, 2025, with schedules available at multiple locations and times:

Hagan (Day): 8:00 a.m.

Hagan (Evening): 6:00 p.m.

Screven (Day): 8:30 a.m.
CDL Day is a vital opportunity to take the first step toward a high-demand, flexible career in commercial truck driving. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the industry is expected to see a 21% employment increase over ten years, with more than 190,000 new jobs projected.
