Local high school students will have the opportunity to meet with admissions staff from Augusta University, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, and the University of Georgia in virtual sessions hosted at their schools.
The Peach State Tour allows students to learn more about the admissions process for these schools as well as to explore some of the options each university offers.
The sessions are free and open to all high school students and their families. SHS and PHS have arranged for virtual sessions at school. See below for details.
Statesboro High School's session is Tuesday, August 30, from 2-3pm in the auditorium. Students must fill out the attendance form and return to Mrs. Retta Bland by Friday, August 26. Parents and students can contact Mrs. Bland by email at [email protected] or by phone at 912-212-8860.
Portal High School's session is also Tuesday, August 30, from 2-3pm at the school. Parents and students should contact Joe Bettinger in the guidance office for more information. He may be contacted by email at [email protected] or by phone at 912-842-8360.
There is also an in-person session scheduled at H.V. Jenkins High School in Savannah on Tuesday, August 23, from 6-8pm. Registration is available online. General questions can be emailed to [email protected].
