The Georgia Southern Facilities, Planning, Design & Construction Team recently launched the Building Eagle Nation podcast to discuss their projects on campus. The podcast gives listeners behind-the-scenes access to ongoing and upcoming construction on the university's campuses in a fun and engaging way.
The series is hosted by Tim Stillwell, Associate Director of Construction, and Matthew Shingler, Director of Facilities, Planning, Design and Construction. Shingler leads a team with oversight on construction projects on all three Georgia Southern campuses.
In the introductory episode, Stillwell mentions that the office often fields questions about projects, and though they already send update emails, they wanted to provide the information in a more engaging way. The podcast is a way for faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the community to stay up-to-date on everything construction related.
There are currently four episodes available on Spotify that cover projects including athletics and housing facilities, among other things.
