The 3rd Annual Willie J. Burden Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for noon on Friday, October 26, 2018, at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course–the day after Georgia Southern hosts Appalachian State in football. The Thursday football game and Friday golf outing create a unique opportunity for a full schedule of fun activities for Georgia Southern alumni.
Dr. Burden was a long-time Georgia Southern sport management professor, Canadian Football League Hall of Famer and sport administrator. Proceeds from the tournament support the Willie J. Burden Memorial Scholarship for Georgia Southern sport management students. To golf at the event costs $100 per person. If you cannot participate in the event, we still encourage you to consider supporting Dr. Burden’s scholarship fund.
