Senior Ramblings | JUBILEE retirement celebration for Mary Sue Smith, Ed.D

Michele LeBlanc enjoyed celebrating the Jubilee retirement of one of Statesboro's most dedicated teachers this weekend, Mary Sue Smith. You never know where Michele LeBlanc will show up next. Her social calendar has become slammed since she introduced you all to her Senior Moments. Keep watching for her rambling around town.

WHAT a great way to celebrate my friend, Mary Sue Smith, Ed.D, academic professional, mentor and colleague to many. Her JUBILEE retirement celebration was held at the BARN AT OLDE HOMEPLACE in Bulloch County.  The drop-in retirement party was hosted by her GREATEST accomplishments: her children and their spouses:

  •  Brannen & Haley Smith
  •  Mary Lucy & Brandon Rowland
  •  Sarah Ann & Nick Earls

The BARN AT OLDE HOMEPLACE, another one of her personal dreams and accomplishments, was a perfect venue to host the abundance of colleagues, friends and of course a few generational students that came to celebrate her retirement and what an influence she had been in their lives.

The weather cooperated (NOT even a drop of rain) and we all had time to visit, munch, and share old and new stories.

We all at Grice Connect want to wish you a HUGE congratulations on this milestone event and look forward to seeing how YOUR new chapter reads. Hopefully lots of FUN with a more relaxed calendar!

Here’s to another GREAT Senior Moment rambling around town and celebrating my friend, Mary Sue in Bulloch County!!!
