Providing books to Bulloch children birth to 5

Ferst Readers is a non-profit organization that promotes the development of early childhood literacy skills in children from birth to age 5 by providing developmentally appropriate books and literacy support materials to children and their families. Every child enrolled in the Ferst Readers program receives a book a month mailed directly to their home until their fifth birthday at no cost.

Ferst Readers of Bulloch County has provided over 85,000 books to children in our community since our Community Action Team was formed in 2013.

Through the generosity of individuals, local organizations and businesses we continue raise funds needed to maintain the Ferst Readers program in Statesboro.
