The Port of Brunswick handled a record 775,565 units of autos and machinery in calendar year 2023, an increase of 15.6 percent over the previous year. Renewed strength in container volumes is expected in 2024.

The free program will be offered in person on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Georgia Grown Innovation Center in Metter, GA. All agricultural-based producers, business owners, and entrepreneurs are invited to attend.

By linking to the Port of Savannah via rail, the Blue Ridge Connector will reduce congestion on Georgia highways, eliminating the 600-mile roundtrip drive to and from the coast. This means offsetting emissions by as much as 75%, lowering transportation costs for importers and exporters, and providing closer drayage for truck drivers who can transport containers in their own markets, closer to home.
