Henrietta Stanley Dull was born in Laurens County in 1863. She became a sought after caterer in Atlanta and published recipes in the Atlanta Journal. She was a good friend of Margaret Mitchell. Her first cookbook was published in 1928 with 1,300 recipes. No southern bride would set up housekeeping without a copy of her book. It is truly a southern institution. And remember, don’t put that fork on a napkin!!

Bulloch Tidbits are a weekly feature written and narrated by the Bulloch County Historical Society (BCHS) Executive Director Virginia Anne Franklin Waters.  Each week Virginia Anne takes Grice Connect readers onto a historical journey back in time saluting the people and places that have make Statesboro and Bulloch a wonderful place to call home.

Bulloch Tidbits on Grice Connect are made possible thanks to the generous support of McCook's Pharmacy a locally owned pharmacy located at 23630 US-80 in Statesboro.
