Bulloch History | Home Delivery on Savannah Avenue

The first time in my life that I had groceries delivered was during the Covid-19 Pandemic. My Grandmother Franklin had her groceries delivered every week to 317 Savannah Avenue from B. B. Morris Grocery. City dairy delivered milk. Beer was delivered in wooden barrels. I remember when Henry’s and Minkovitz delivered. Tune in for more.

Bulloch Tidbits are a weekly feature written and narrated by the Bulloch County Historical Society (BCHS) Executive Director Virginia Anne Franklin Waters.  Each week Virginia Anne takes Grice Connect readers onto a historical journey back in time saluting the people and places that have make Statesboro and Bulloch a wonderful place to call home.

Bulloch Tidbits on Grice Connect are made possible thanks to the generous support of McCook's Pharmacy a locally owned pharmacy located at 23630 US-80 in Statesboro.
