Thanks to McCook's Pharmacy for making the replay of the Bulloch Tid Bit's available on Grice Connect.
A very popular hobby during the 1960’s and 70’s in South Georgia was china painted. Lou Parrish was one of the first teachers. An electric kiln is used to fire china paint onto a porcelain blank. These ladies made small dishes, bowls and even small ash trays for bridge club parties. Come take a look at some great pieces that are now cherished heirlooms.
Bulloch Tidbits are a weekly feature written and narrated by the Bulloch County Historical Society (BCHS) Executive Director Virginia Anne Franklin Waters. Each week Virginia Anne takes Grice Connect readers onto a historical journey back in time saluting the people and places that have make Statesboro and Bulloch a wonderful place to call home.
Bulloch Tidbits on Grice Connect are made possible thanks to the generous support of McCook's Pharmacy a locally owned pharmacy located at 23630 US-80 in Statesboro.
