The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets faced a tough defeat Friday night, falling to the Jenkins County Warriors 48-14 at Fred Shaver Field. Despite a strong effort, the Yellow Jackets struggled against Jenkins' dominant offense and defense, leading to their second loss of the season.

The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets suffered a tough defeat this Friday night, falling to the Jenkins County with a final score of 48-14. The game was held a Fred Shaver Field, saw the Southeast Bulloch struggle against a strong Jenkins Warrior offense and defense that dominated much of the matchup.

First Quarter: The game started off tightly contested, with both teams trading possessions. The Jackets had a rough time being able to hold on to the ball due to the Jenkins defense. 

2nd Quarter: Despite their efforts, the Yellow Jackets fell behind as Jenkins took control, scoring 25 points by halftime, leaving the score at 25-7. Key players like Chris Jones tried to rally the team, but the Jenkins County Warrior's defense made it tough to gain momentum.

After halftime, the Yellow Jackets showed signs of life with an amazing passing touchdown to Clay Williams. However, turnovers and penalties hampered their efforts to close the gap. Jenkins capitalized on the mistakes, scoring multiple touchdowns in the second half quarter, sealing the win.

Despite the loss, many students stayed and supported the Yellow Jackets all the way to the end “Sometimes you got to put the loss over your shoulder and be ready for the next game.,” said Head Coach Jared Zito.

The loss drops Yellow Jackets’s record to 4-2 for the season, while the Warriors improve to 4-2.

Up next, Yellow Jackets will face Liberty County on Tuesday, October 15th at Fred Shaver Field.
