George W. Strickland Jr. Foundation signs endowment worth $500,000 to fund The Strickland Promise
By establishing The Strickland Promise, the board of Directors for the George W. Strickland Foundation will be providing scholarships for qualified Evans County graduating seniors. The scholarship will help offset costs remaining after all federal, state, and any other financial awards are applied to tuition.

OTC Wildlife Club wins award from Ogeechee Riverkeeper
Over the course of the last year, the OTC Wildlife Club has helped with a bi-monthly clean-up of Little Lott’s Creek located near downtown Statesboro. In previous years they have also assisted with water testing and trash cleanup in the Canoochee River in Evans County.
