February 4, 1949 - January 25, 2025
Mr. Willie Albert Cone, age 75, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at his residence. A native of Bulloch County, he was the beloved son of the late Annie Bell Young and was raised by his parents, Aaron “Buster” and Jessie Mae Cone.
Mr. Cone was previously employed by McCorkel Cricket Farm in Metter, Georgia. He had a lifelong passion for muscle cars, big block engines, growling exhaust systems, and racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jasmine L. Moore, and his brothers, Jessie Coppock, John Henry Cone, Willie Raymond, Sammy Lee Young, and James Young.
He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters: LaToya P. Wilson of Chesapeake, VA; Prethenia Y. Cone of Brooklet, GA; and Mattlean Lester White of Statesboro, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Shaquille Harrison of Chesapeake, VA; Elijah Sanders, Alexander, and Aiden White of Statesboro, GA; and Ashley Harrison of Brooklet, GA. Additionally, he leaves behind one brother, Aaron (Josephine) Cone of Brooklet, GA; one sister, Ollie Mae Young of Brooklet, GA, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Cone will be held on Friday evening, January 31, 2025, 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mr. Willie Albert Cone will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. Burial will follow in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
