Mr. Tommie Lee Hendrix, age 79, passed into rest, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his residence. He was born August 22, 1943, in Register, Georgia to the late Charlie and Jessie Mae McBride Hendrix.
He received his formal education in the Bulloch County School System and later settled in Statesboro Georgia.
Mr. Hendrix was a dedicated member of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee of Rozier Ford Lincoln Mercury where he worked as a mechanic for over thirty years.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Gregory (Heather) Hendrix, Atlanta, Ga and Tony Hendrix, Saginaw MI; a brother, Bobby Hendrix, Saginaw MI; grandchildren Courtney Hendrix, Columbia, SC, Vanity (Bryan) Davis and Torry Baldwin, both of Statesboro, Ga, Gregory Huston, Vidalia, Ga and Princess-Zjah’nae McKnight, Saginaw, MI; nephews Daniel Hendrix, Metter, Ga, Bobby Jr. (Tiffany) Hendrix, Ypsilanti, MI; nieces BarbraAnn (Tony) Burrell and Nina (Eric) Phillips, both of Saginaw, MI, several great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Hendrix will be held, 4 pm to 7 pm, Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Hill’s Mortuary.
The funeral service for Mr. Tommy Lee Hendrix, will be held, 11 am, Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gregory Thomas, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
