Terry Wayne Oliver, 70, of Statesboro, GA , passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 22, 2023.
He was a graduate of Screven County High School. He spent a good part of his life in Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Savannah, working in the hospitality industry. He was employed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pooler, GA at the time of his death. He enjoyed shopping and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jackson Clifton Oliver, Sr., of Sylvania.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John (Naomi) Harden of Oxford, GA, three grandchildren, Terry, Brantley, and Trinity Harden, his mother, Betty Oliver, brother, Jack Oliver, Jr., and sister, Brenda (Ricky) Mills all of Sylvania, one niece, Heather Oliver (Nathan Pyeritz), one nephew, Ricky Lee (Rachel) Mills, several cousins, and special friends, Mike Twisdale, Chris Wright, and Beverly Keith, and one very special fur baby, Chase.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 3:00pm at the Joiner Anderson Screven Chapel with Rev. Dr. Karen Zeigler officiating. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
