Mrs. Teresa Curtis Parker, 45, of Clyo, GA, and formerly of Poor Robin, passed away at the Effingham Hospital on February 21, 2024.
She was born on January 6, 1979 in San Diego, CA to Karen Nannette Brown and Richard L. Curtis, Jr. but she was raised in the Poor Robin community.
Teresa was the co-owner and accountant of Advanced Custom Air with her husband since she was 18 years old, and she worked there for 25 years, also at D.E.E.N.O.S. Gymnastics in Rincon, as a staff member for the last six years.
Teresa was also a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, an avid reader, and a pet lover, whether it be dogs, cats, or birds.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Richard L. Curtis, Sr.; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Rayford “Bud” Brown; and her beloved aunt, Barbara Jenkins.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wesley Parker; children, Chase Parker and Camber Parker all of Clyo; stepchildren, Anthony Parker, of Statesboro, and Breanna Parker (Sean), of Gadsden, AL; mother, Karen Brown (Donnie), of Pooler, GA; father, Richard L. Curtis, Jr., of Pulaski, NY; grandchildren, Aaleyah, Remington, Chandler, and Tristan; paternal grandmother, Joan Curtis, of Mexico, NY; and her beloved fur babies, Blitz, Bear, Luna, Stripe, Jason Charlie Rico, and Toby; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Joiner Anderson Screven on Wednesday February 28, 2024 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Kevin Rountree officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
Interment will follow in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Teresa’s uncles and cousins. Honorary pallbearers will be her aunts, uncles, cousins, and the staff and athletes of D.E.E.N.O.S. Gymnastics.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to D.E.E.N.O.S. Gymnastics, 355 Commerce Dr., Rincon, GA 31326.
