With sadness and compassion, Craig R. Tremble Funeral Homes, Inc., Statesboro Chapel, along with the Family, announce the passing of Mr. Sherman Melvin Jr.
Mr. Sherman Melvin Jr., age 75, of Statesboro, GA., passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA.
He was a 1966 graduate of William James High School and a college graduate of Albany State College in Albany, GA. He was a member of Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his health failed.
Sherman was self employed at Magic Wand, a painting company, in which he owned and operated. He played Canadian football with the Montreal Alouettes and professional football, for a year with the Kansas City Chief.
