
Ruby Lee Moore Walker, age 65, passed into eternal rest, Sunday evening, September 11, 2022, at her residence in Statesboro, Georgia.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County, Georgia. Mrs. Moore received her formal education in the public school system of Bulloch County and was a graduate of Statesboro High School class of 1974.
Ruby retired from Willow Pond Senior Care after 16 years and was presently employed with the Bulloch County Board of Education for the past 26 years where she enjoyed cooking at the William James Middle School. She was a member of the Agape Worship Center and was a member of the Culinary Team of Agape.
Ruby is preceded in death by Parents, the late Ernest Moore, Sr. and the late Dorothy M. Smith Moore; two brothers, the late Larry (Big Moe) Moore and the late Rev. Michael Moore.
She leaves her memories to be cherished by her husband, Ronnie L. Walker of Statesboro; her children, Derek (Olympia) Walker, Kisha (Jason) Childers, and JaRhonda Walker all of Statesboro, GA; three brothers, Ernest (Patricia) Moore, Jr. of Savannah, GA; George (Rhonda) Moore of Statesboro, GA; Johnny R. Moore of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Jaquez Cone, Aniyah Walker, Jakobe Walker, Jacob Childers, Jaydon Lawson and Jaziyah Smith all of Statesboro, GA; three sisters-in-love Debra Moore, Mary Coleman and Lucinda Walker. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The public viewing for Mrs. Walker will be Friday, September 16, 2022, from 10am until 5p.m. with the family receiving guests for a walk-through viewing from 5pm to 8pm in the Joanna M. Fields visitation room at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mrs. Walker will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Agape Worship Center with Bishop Anthony Chavers presiding and Pastor Donald Chavers officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery located at 200 Mt. Olive Lane in Statesboro, GA.
The remains will lie in state at the Church on the day service from 9:30a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
