Mr. Ronnie Floyd Mika, age 78, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, August 28, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on December 21, 1946, Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Statesboro. He worked faithfully in the construction industry for many years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Ronnie will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who cherished his family deeply.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jaye Mika of South Carolina; one daughter, Wendy Dickson of South Carolina; one son, Chris Mika of Statesboro; one brother, Dewayne Darby of Statesboro; two aunts, Veronica Crosby and Betty Sauls, both of Statesboro; 4 grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Ronnie’s life was a testimony of strength, perseverance, and love for those around him.
The family will receive visitors for the family visitation on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Ronnie Mika, will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 31, 2025, in the Ollie B. Holland Memorial Chapel of Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home with Rev. Carlos Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery on Northside Drive.
