“PeeWee” Juanita Gay Ivey, age 78, died on Saturday March 4th, 2023, at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro. PeeWee was born on February 24th, 1945, in Bulloch County to the late Bill and Lola Gay. She was a strong willed and hard working woman. She loved her flowers, fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Gay, James L. Gay, B.L. Gay, Larry Gay, and Ronnie Gay, and her sisters, Arlene Grimes and Mildred Gay.
PeeWee is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Andrew Farley, and Michelle and Jamie Aldrich, her two grandchildren, Ryan Aldrich (Ashley), and Payton Farley, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Elder Howard Rushing officiating.
Interment will follow at Corinth-Leefield Cemetery in Brooklet.
Pallbearers will be Larry Hodges, Roger Davis, Bobby Brown, Johnny Brown, Ray Martin, and Elvis Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Billy Gay, Tony Gay, and Bobby Roberts.
