Nathan Lionel "Big Skate" Hendley, passed from labor to reward suddenly on February 14, 2023 at his residence. He was a native of Bulloch County, a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and a graduate of Statesboro High School. He was a truck driver.
He is survived by a daughter, Manashia Taylor, Atlanta, GA; two sons, Rodney Mays, Statesboro, GA and Stantavion Whitfield, GA; his mother, Nell J. Hendley, Dublin, GA; a brother, James Alfonza Hendley, Savannah, GA; two sisters, Cynthia Shun Smith, Killeen, TX and Marilyn Walker, Gulfport, MS, his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the pastor Reverend Richard A. Lawrence, officiating.
