Mrs. Nancy Calhoun Davis, age 71, died on Friday March 1st 2024 at Memorial Health in Savannah.
Nancy was born on May 19th 1952 in Emanuel County, Georgia to the late George Calhoun Sr. and Annie Lula Jarrell Calhoun. She attended Emanuel County Institute and spent much of her life in the Portal area. Nancy worked as a seamstress at American Argo in Metter for many years and then was a full time loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, and her son, William Stacy Wilkerson.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Davis, her four sons, Kenneth Wilkerson, Troy Wilkerson, Matthew Davis (Amanda), Nathan Davis (Gillis), her 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Wesley Calhoun, Betty Biggers, Dorothy Cowart Donaldson (David), Jean Hendrix (Webster), and Sandra Calhoun, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Monday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Roy Jarriel officiating.
Interment will follow at Portal City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Wilkerson, Jonathan Wilkerson, Phillip Wilkerson, Ashley Cowart, Jonathan Biggers, and Ryan Graham.
