Mrs. Nellie Morgan Bolton, 77, passed away at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, GA on May 30, 2022.
Nellie was the daughter of the late Leroy and Alyne Weeks Morgan. She was born in Effingham County and reared and educated there.
She operated the Shake-N-Burger restaurant for many years, worked at King Finishing, and had later worked as a waitress at Wall’s Diner.
She loved tending to her garden and growing many types of flowers. Most important was the time she got to spend with her family, especially her sisters, whether going out to eat or time spent in conversation.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Tracy Williams, her granddaughter, Ashley and Spencer Masse, and great-grandchildren, Logan Parker, Tylan Johnson, and Titan Masse, all of Sylvania, many nieces and nephews, and her fur-babies, Pepper, Little Man, and Little Girl.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bolton, siblings; Carolyn Edwards, Georgia Mae Wilson, Bertha Glisson, Linda Gail Altman, Lavonne Morgan, and Leon Morgan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 4:00pm at the Joiner Anderson Screven Chapel with Rev. Rick West officiating. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Graham, Tommy Graham, Spencer Masse, Ronnie Morgan, Glen Wilson, and Mike Wilson.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Friends of Screven County Animals, P.O. Box 87, Sylvania, GA 30467.
