Larry Harvey Bacon at age 68 transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at his home in Statesboro, Ga.
Larry was born in Claxton, GA and graduated from Claxton High School. He served in the United States Army and graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1980.
He and his wife Jane moved to Statesboro, Georgia, in 2016 after living for the prior thirty years in Macon, Ga. Larry worked for 36 years in the telecommunications industry.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Harvey Bacon; his mother, Letha Sikes Bacon; and his son Adrian Harvey Bacon.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Bacon; his son, Ashley Laurence Bacon; sister, Judy Waters; brother-in-law, David Waters; sister, Wanda Futch; Sister, Lynn Sapp; brother-in-law, Wayne Sapp; brother, William Harvey Bacon; sister-in-law, Linda West; brother-in-law, Tommy Godwin; sister-in-law, Darlene Godwin; granddaughter, Trinity Truluck and several nieces and nephews.
At Larry’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. He asked that his friends and loved ones remember the good times that they shared with him over the years.
